I am in the process of making a couple of bushcraft knives, I was planning on going with a scandi grind on both knives but while sanding out the first one I started thinking that maybe I would take the second one out to a full convex grind. Here are the two blanks.

Steel: 3/16 O1
Blade Length: 4 1/8"
Handle Length: 5" and 5 1/4" for the one with the lanyard
OAL: 9 1/4" and 9 1/2" for the one with lanyard.
Handle Material: Maple Burl from Burl Source.

The top knife is the one I am thinking of going full convex with, the extra bit at the back will be a triangular lanyard hole, but I still need to get to that with my files. let me know what you think would be better considering the size of the knife.
Thank you
George

PS: one of these will be a give away prize for my 1000th post

My first two knife were convex edges, and they held up well, only thing is I went with way to thick of stock on it so they suffered there. I thinned them out a lot but have yet to go out and test them since. The next two were full flat grind bowie style knives. they are sanded down and ready for HT. The scandi grind bushcraft knife is sanded out to 800 on one side and 400 on the other, I am just taking a finger break before finishing up the other side. I figure I might as well send all four out for HT at the same time and save a bit on shipping. After this project I am switching over to a few folders just for the challenge.

The folder design is still a work in progress but I think I am close to a final design.

Well I guess that I have my results even though it wasn't as large of a sample as I hoped for. One scandi, one convex. I will post the 2 side by side in the next day or two before sending them out for HT
