I hope this isnt the wrong place. But anyway, my cousin has a car with rear defrost. The wire comes down and hooks on this little tab that is glued?, on the glass. The little tab has come loose and is now just hanging down with the wire attached, so of course the defrost doesnt work now. My question is. Can the little tab be reglued?, soldered?, back to the window, or do they have to get a new rear window?. Also if it can be fixed, can window glass places fix it?, and for about how much?. Thanks in advance..

A window glass shop should be able to fix it fairly cheap.

You can also go to the auto parts store, and get a repair kit for about $10-15.

Yes you can fix it yourself, but this is one of those things that if you can't look at it and say "Oh, I can fix that in 30 secs" then its best to pay $20 to let a pro do it. Otherwise you might be paying $150 for a new rear window or $250 to reupholster the rear seat (when you drop the soldering iron). :)

DO NOT SOLDER IT!!!!!! As posted above, you can buy a repair kit fairly cheaply. I have seen some that appear to be a conductive type of glue that you paint on with a brush. Try eastwood.com. I would check with an auto glass repair shop first. It might only be slightly more expensive than the kit, which you would only use once.
