The Queen Country Cousin line of knives usually has a #70 etched on the blade. I've noticed on some they will have a letter designation after the #70, I've seen #70A, #70B and Ive even seen a #70R. Anyone have any idea what the letter designates? Is it a difference in blade steel? Run #? Thanks for any help guys! Trevor~

I've seen the A on a yellow handled #70, so I'm not certain that designates color though it does make sense on the B and R knives I've seen.

I have the CC in yellow & black (D2 versions), and the box labels are '70A' for the yellow ('amber' is likely a good assumption), and '70B' for the black. I'd assume the '70R' was for red handles, of which I've seen in older versions of the CC.

Little late, but designations mentioned are correct. Amber, Black, and recently Red (LM for Micarta).

Thanks guys, I guess I didn't consider Amber as yellow but more of a orangish/brown. I guess that answer my question, you all rock! Trevor~

Another question for the Queen experts here.
Has the #69 straight jack (although it looks more like a teardrop jack to me) ever been produced in something else that amber stag bone? I'm talking about a spear/pen (or single spear without liner lock) with regular bolsters?
Thanks folks!

I don't believe Queen made the #69 in any other form but ACSB. I could be wrong but I've never seen it.
The #69 is a slightly smaller pattern ( 3 1/2" ) than their old #18 Heavy Jack pictured below. The #18 is 3 11/16".
