Question for the snakewood owners

For those of you that have snakewood sebenzas or mnandis and your wood has high contrast between the light and dark colors, have you noticed that over time the lighter color darkens up basically making the contrast between light and dark less noticable? I read somewhere about this wood that it will eventually all turn to a dark color. Wondering if it is true.
 
I've had a small Annual Inlay with snakewood since '05 and have noticed no change in the contrast of which you refer to. Just my preference, but I think the contrast is what makes snakewood one of the most appealing wood inlay choices. Beautiful stuff.
