Question for Thomas W.

Steel should be marked on other side of the blade. This is avalanche with bead blasted blade - usually they have black TiNi coating and CPM streel - old ones CPM 440V (S60V) and new ones CPM S30V.

Thanks, Vassili.

Just found this site via Google.

I don't know what language the site is in but at the bottom of the page
it shows the blade as being CPM 440V. I also seen a date of 1999 somewhere
on the page.

...Gotta admit that I'd love to find one of those lyin' around...Nice lookin' knife...:)...Kinda sorta looks like a "blown up" Leek to me...

Just as a confirmation, all the uncoated Avalanche's were done up in 440V steel.
