I was waiting to see some feedback on this model.

How fat are the handles? They looked a bit chubby in the pics but I know photos can be deceiving sometimes.

How's the balance compare to other khukuris? I suspect it would be quite a bit different due to the extra weight from all that brass on the handle.

Chopping power? Durability?

Let's hear it.

For those who don't know, I'm referring to this model:

It's about 25" IIRC.

Beautiful and Rare. I don't know if anyone would use one for more than decorative purposes. I love'em, but couldn't afford 'em.

just my .02$

The handle is 1.25 inches wide by 1.5 high. The balance is good, and can be wielded with one hand. I have not yet chopped with it, but it feels like it could cleave a large picnic bench in half, with a few well placed blows.

I think it's nicest looking interpretation of a kopis I've ever seen.

The only thing I didnt like was the copper inlay on the blade.

I think that the copper inlay is more interesting for me in person, than in this photo.I like it more after applying a better polish. The inlay appears to be about 1/16 inch deep.

we could always send a roll of 10k gold and see what happens...or mithral...
Beautiful, I'd like one at about 1.5 pounds though...better to swing for an all day event with...
