Question for Trance owners

Hey gang, I've been carrying and using my Trance for the past couple of days and I absolutely love the knife, however, when closed the blade sat off to the side a bit. It didn't rub against the scale, but it's was a bit off. I tried tightening the pivot screw to center the blade in the handle, but then the blade became to stiff to open.

So, I experimented by switching the position of the pivot (so that the pivot screw is positioned on the frame side instead of the FRN side) and I the blade centers up nicely. My question is, will reversing the pivot's position have an adverse effect on how the lock-bar wears against the blade? The reason I ask is because I can feel a slight difference in how the lock engages the blade when open with the pivot's position reversed.

Shouldn't cause a problem..... I've been running my Trance that way since December with no problems... :)

Aloha Cosmic Superchunk,

Hey no worries about that slight offset. Your blade was headed towards the scale side, right? It's your trusty framelock (ala Reeves) bar placing some tension against the blade is all. NOTHING to worry about in the least, mine does the same thing, but main thing it locks up solid and cuts straight!:p

Mahalo for your kind words, and thanks potterma for having my back while I been "away"...God bless!
