Question for you makers...

I'm going to once again drive cross country in a few weeks. I hope to stop along the way every now and again, and hopefully, to stop and visit a few makers if possible.. I know Audra Draper and Mike Draper are having an event at their place that I may be able to stop for, and I hope to stop in on Danbo... I know Craig Cammerer is not too far from Danbo, so...

My question is how do you all feel about people maybe simply stopping by?

I ask because I don't exactly know what my timing in any particular area will be, nor what kind of time I'll have, but I know of several makers I'd really just like to introduce myself to... and maybe even butter 'em up for a possible future project... But I'm also aware that y'all have lives, and my hope is also not to be disruptive

Any opinions and any info greatly appreciated!

Happy Hammerin'!

You're more than welcome to stop by my shop (garage) if you're driving through Springfield, MO. :)

I get visitors all the time in South Carolina. It is fine if you stop in and I am home, but I always ask people to call before they head out just to make sure that I will be home.

Y'all are the reason I've enjoyed collecting so much over the last 10 years or so... Won't promise to drop in on any one, but if I get a chance, I'll definitely try and call first!

Now, I guess i've got a week to compile an address book!

Burchtree, if I swing past Danbo's, I've got a friend about an hour south I want to visit and I think it's not all that far to Sprinfield! No promises, but you're on the list! Thanks!

Passing through Kansas City?

Not sure yet, maybe a little further north, but like I said, I haven't fianalized a route and I'm not sure if I'll stop on the way out there or the way back... All's I know for sure is I won't travel on that turnpike again! LOL!!!!

And now I'm off to Eugene!! Hope to see some of you west coast makers there!!!

Thanks again all!

Just let me know when you're coming through! If it is after 5:30, I'm usually in my shop! (regular job gets in the way of my shoptime. :))

If you are in Oregon and are going to the Drapers then you drive with in twenty miles of me. Give a call and come on up.

If you around up here in the Northeast, stop on by. We will have a few beers and do up some Damascus.
But you got to taste my HT'g Relish.  HEHEHEHEHE!!!

If you're coming through southern Missouri, you're welcome to stop by our place. Let me know a little ahead of time, I'll be very busy from now until Blade and a couple of fishing trips planned but wouldn't mind a visit.
