Question for Yvsa about the new bowie

A while ago I've followed a thread about a new bowie project you were working on. I've been on and off the forum due to my work and I may have missed the developments of this project. Is this new bowie going to become reality? I'm asking you because I'm one of your biggest fan on the other side of the atlantic ocean and I wouldn't like to miss it.

Good news, thanks.
We are repositioning the ship over to the mediterranean for the beginning of our european season. We have left Ft. Ldl. on april the 1st, yesterday we called Funchal (Madeira) and tomorrow we will be in Malaga (Spain). The atlantic crossing have been fairly smooth. Soon we will be in Italy and we will be spending the next couple of months between Italy,France and Spain.

I am planning on taking some wood and the full scale Bowie drawing with us on vacation later this month.
Hopefully I will have some time to work on it while we're in Phoenix and perhaps even get the model finished while we're there.
I am concerned about the wood and making the guard without it breaking off.
I may have to make the model in seperate piecs and then glue them together to have one that's substantial enough to get all the way to Nepal without something breaking on it.
And if I have to do it in seperate pieces it will naturally take longer.
But it will be a reality someday.
I am more excited about the H.I.Bowie than I am the H.I.'Hawk since good working 'hawks can be bought other places pretty reasonable.
But I promised and it too will someday be a reality.
The problem with the 'hawk is the different models I have to make to get what we want.
The YCS is a good example of the problems involved.

Sounds like you have a lot of work ahead, but I'm more than happy to wait for the final result. It will be good to put the new bowie side by side with the bird&trout. Also I'm looking forward to get a working YCS sooner or later. Even though you are quite busy with the current projects, have you ever thought about a Yvsa Tanto?

Ya know I was just looking at m HI bowie the other day wondering the same thing. I am looking forward to it. You have done such a great job on the others, that I am willing to wait.

 
I was at a custom knife show with a friend last weekend. After the show I showed him my purchases and some of my knives was transporting. When it came to the H.I. bowie I truely felt that I had to warn him it was sharp (I had sharpened it up for some kevlar cutting). Thought throw in some H.I. bowie experiences too.

I too am interested in the SW bowie project. Although it will be some time before I'll be able to aquire new meds, Yvsa's designs are at the top of my wish list. Especially when they nail the YCS-2

Hmmm.....I've got two good working kidneys, if I sell the one then I'll be able to afford most of my HI wish list
