I was just wondering, if I ordered a knife or two from RMK would they send a Canadian a free brochure (catalog)? If you buy knives from RMK do you automatically get their catalog every year or do you have to order it?

It is not that I am really that cheap, it is just that I don't use credit cards and to send a $2.00 (or is it $3.00) money order to get a catalog seems like a pain in the butt. It costs $3.50 just to buy the money order and then you have to wait probably a month for the mail to get there and to get back.

OK, enough whining for awhile.;)

No free catalogs. I think the dealers even have to pay for them. Why not send 2, $1.00 bills American money? Don't forget your return address. Take that $3.50, along with another $16.50, you just saved and join the Randall Knife Society at www.randallknifesociety.com . Regards, Rhett Stidham

Thanks Rhett, that's what I thought. Just wanted to get it confirmed. I will be joining the Randall Knife Society in the next couple of weeks. Shel has mentioned something about a CD on Randall knives. Where does one get ahold of one of these?

...that someone, maybe me, missed the intent of your original post KWM...

So, to answer your question...When I bought from Randall (RMK) direct, the few times I called down and they actually had knives for sale, (in stock, and models that I wanted), I asked that a catalog be enclosed, and there was...that's where your 2000 catalog came from Keith.

Another time, when I bought from a RMK dealer, I asked that a catalog be enclosed with the order, and there was...That's where my 2001 catalog came from.

I bought a RMK at a gun show from a large volume RMK reseller, and picked up a catalog there too...

Now truthfully, these catalogs cost someone something, but the folks were gracious enough to "give" them to me...(Thanks guys)

The real key here is, RMK has an up to date web site with current catalog prices... www.randallmadeknives.com And you can find out all current factory pricing info there...at anytime, now, or in the future.

Question #2 The information CD can be bought at www.intersquare.com
There's also one authorized CD reseller working out of ebay, and the prices seem to run about $5 US lower.

As Rhett said, the Randall Knife Society website, and sign up, can be found at www.randallknifesociety.com

When you do sign up, make sure you tell Rhett you're my buddy. He'll take 50% of your first years dues...and send me $5 to boot.

Idn't that right Rhett ol' buddy? ;) :p :D

WKM, look me up after you decide which type of RMK's you're looking for, i.e. "New vs older", model type, plain Jane vs. embellished, etc. I'll try to help you find what you're looking for.

Some Purveyors seem to specialize in those really cool rare and collectible RMK's...others only carry new production models. Maybe I can save you some "looking" time...Or maybe I'll just end up blowing smoke up yer arse...lol ;)

KWM,
I just got a catalog from Randall last week. If you send me an email at lagarto123456@yahoo.com with your address I'd be glad to mail it to you. I probably won't need it as I have a cash shortage for a while, so no Randalls for me anytime soon. Also, as a U.S. citizen I can request a new one free.
