Ordered this from Buck. Arrived a couple days ago... living in Idaho means the carrier mules don't have so far to go as they do for some of you folks. I like it, although I bought it mostly for the collection rather than to carry. Seems nice, although the lock is pretty stiff right now. And yeah, I'd opt for nickel bolsters as well, but hey, I don't already have one like this so it's all good.
Nickel bolsters are really a white brass alloy (Copper and Zinc). The Legacy has Aluminum bolsters which are tough to Nickel plate. Puma made some folding knives with Satin Nickel plated die cast Zinc bolsters.Ordered this from Buck. Not sure what you meant by Nickel bolsters? Did you mean to say Aluminum?
I know this one has aluminum, and I know that's difficult to plate. Someone up thread mentioned preferring silver or nickel bolsters (or something... I took that to mean "shiney silver colored" ;-) ). So I was just commenting that was my usual pref as well, but the grey is cool too.
"Out of Stock", already...I just received an email from Copper & Clad - they have the Legacy 110, the 401 and 055 in stock
