Jerry,

What is the RC Hardness going to be?

Did you take it up higher for an EDC slicing type blade (Better Edge Retention) or leave it as the others?

Not sure if you could take it up to 62 ~ 63+ or not so I was just asking. :D

Like if someone wanted to use it to cut cardboard with it all day.

Not sure if it would be too brittle at high RC.

That's where the BADs are, isn't it? I bet Jerry would have said so if the RC for the CABS, SCABS & LCABS is as high as the BAD. He'll probably chime in and let us know for sure.

I hope not, and wouldn't think so. Its Fine on a thin tipped, small, short bladed knife as the BAD that you won't likely over abuse(mainly because of the very thin tip), but this knife is a bit larger than a normal sized EDC.

I like INFI at its normal hardness. It still holds an edge better than most steels I have tried, and is tougher than any.

I'll be curious to see the user pix on these. I'm leaning towards a thick one myself. Got a lot of knives that slice well.

My Custom Shop AD works just fine at the normal Busse RC, and it's a thin one.

So do the Culties, and I never heard anything about Rockwell being raised on those.

Good question. I have a BAD, and a couple culties. The users cut like lasers.

My question is this: Has anyone really noticed a difference in the +2 Rockwell on the BAD vs. std infi?

I wonder if the +2 makes much difference in the performance of INFI .

.

Just sharpened my "new" user BAD up tonight.

I had one when they were first released, but did not use it. I traded it (color of the handle's not to my liking), and I had a GW and a SS so had the size range covered.

Now, I have the GW, BAD, and CABS on the way. Looks like I am small end heavy again (with the big end being covered by B11 and KZII..........FBMLE is gone).

Anyway, I will be interested in seeing how the two edges stack up under normal cutting.

My GW is .22, and I have the convex edge left rather obtuse. Still jumps hair, but is better suited for heavier use.

Time will tell.
