A curiosity question here, folks- is Mors Kochanski's "Northern Bushcraft" substantially different than his newer "Bushcraft" book? In other words, is it worth the extra $$$ that the "Northern" edition goes for?

Many thanks, y'all take care!
Regan

I don't have either (yet, the book is at the top of my list), but it's my understanding that "Northern Bushcraft" is just an earlier edition of "Bushcraft". It cost's more simply because it's an earlier edition. I'm sure someone here has both versions and could tell you for sure, but that's how I understand it.

cmdionne is spot on. In this case, it's merely the 1st edition (Northern Bushcraft) bringing higher prices than the re-issue (Bushcraft). The second edition includes 34 color photographs (not found in the 1st edition) to help illustrate some of the techniques and ideas. Other than that they're the same. Either way, an excellent book!

I just got Bushcraft and am going through it. Great, so far! The color plates in the back are very nice.

I can't comment on the differences.

In the "Northern" edition, every sentence ends with "eh?". They edited it out for the newer editions. :D

Where else can you find great information and a sense of humor, too? :p Thanks a lot, folks, I sure appreciate the help!

Y'all take care,
Regan
