Question of handle interest. Who like magnum handles, and how are your hands shaped?

I know this sounds weird, but I want to try to see if I can help noobs by establishing a pattern of who will or won't like magnum handles.....
SO, I thought the best way might be to get people tell which handles they prefer..... regular or magnum, and how you would describe your hands with as much detail as possible.
So.... I'll begin....
A) I prefer magnum handles.
B) I have medium hands, which I think are slightly below average length for a man, but they are also slightly wide, also, I don't have "working man's hands" either, they're office hands.

Good idea!

a. I prefer the magnum handles
b. I have long, thin hands

I must add that I have not worked hard with the magnums, only played with them at the recent show - and they are definitely an upgrade for my hands...

i wear a size large glove, i like the reg size on mid to small knives and the mags on no's on up.

It does sound weird but I'll play, WM. ;)

I like the Mag handles A LOT! The difference between the proto-FBM in Mag and regular made them feel like two different knives. In hard use, the mags on my HH are fantastic. For what it's worth, the EU style handles don't fit me that well at all.

My hands? Hmmm... medium? Not fat...

I have large hands for my 5' 10" frame. And yeah, I really like Maggies and how they feel in me paws.... :)

I prefer the regular grips
I have small hands, size small or medium gloves with a crooked beat up pinky. So my grip strength in my right hand still isn't the greatest and I have trouble gripping large pull bars, monkey bars, etc so smaller is always better!

I have fairly small hands and short fingers (3 1/2" x 7") and I love the mag handles on my FSH, although I haven't done any long work sessions with it. I don't have anything close with standard handles so can't make any comparison.

I have regular size fingers but really large palms so my hands tend to be just above average. But I am not sure this means anything. I like small handles because it gives me more control. I do not wear gloves when I do extended chopping (3-4 or more hours) and I like being able to have control. The mag's just don't do it becuase of their shape. The lumps are too pronounced for me. If they were thick all the way around it would not be so bad.

I remember reading how philipino's, who have very small hands, had no problem handling the Barreta 92, which has very large grip girth. While people with larger hands didn't like it. So again hand size is not as big an issue IMO, as what you are use too.

I like mags and I have small to medium size hands. Of course I traded off
the only mag handled Busse I ever owned.

Me like em big...Mags for me!

and I have big hands and big feet and enjoy long walks on beachs at sunset. ;)

I love the Magnum sized handles. Part of this may be due to the nice contouring that the Magnums have. The same goes for the SF Magnums...more contour and fuller in the hand.

My hands are sort of regular in size, but are pretty fat, sort of meat club like;) I wear an extra large glove and usually will blow out latex and nitrile XL's at work.

In the sun or any bright light my hand also casts a very nice trophy tom image upon walls and the ground ...I have to admit though, I have a hell of a time throwing the gobble without moving my lips. The children still run like hell though...

I also like the Ergo grips on a standard 1/4" tang. Full in the hand and secure, even without contouring.

Mine's 3.5 x 7.5 the way Paddling_Hog measures. I'd go for the mag's except that the hollows seem to be in the wrong places. I like the fatness of the EU-17.

I like the regular handles.
5'10", 170 lbs. I just like having a standard size handle for better grip control. The only mag handles I have are on a HOGFSHLE which is big and thick everywhere and I won't ever be using that.:)

Good thread idea, Walking Man.

I find the Magnum SF handles to be my favourite of the three I have used(EU, standard SF, and Fusion magnum).

My hands are about 7 inches long and about 3.5 inches wide at the palm. I have rather slender fingers and the SF magnum fit my hand perfectly. They fit like a glove, the shallows and swells are perfect. I find the EU handle to be comfortable but not very secure, I have never lossed it though.

I have only one smaller blade, a CP JABA. The rope cut micarta is secure and is comfortable in the stab, slice and splitting. I really like it. The choil is very small and would be useless for anyone with big fingers.

The magnum fusion is an awesome chopping grip and focuses all the power into the blade (and wood). It is very secure but I still prefer the magnum SF.

This pic makes me hope no one asks what size chair everyone prefers. ;)

I love the magnum handle on my Hell Razer

my hand is 8.9" I'm 6'6"

my ring finger is quite longer than my forefinger meaning I got a nice dose of testosterone from mom in my first trimester
