Recently, I have been rediscovering virtues of custom tobacco pipes and been struck by the clear parallels with custom knives. I came across an interesting article that addresses the differences between a craftsman, an artisan and a true artist. I think you might enjoy it. Be careful! Pipes are another thing you may get the bug to collect.

Very interesting reading - and yes, the parallels are quite evident. The craftsmanship in many of those pieces is quite impressive - but I sure don't need any more expensive hobbies!
