question of worth

Hey all,

Anyone have a sense of real-world worth of an 8" purebred fighter? This would be the unwrapped variety. I am looking to get a sense of what one would ask for such a thing if selling.

I am a trusted authority on the value of Busse knives in the secondary market. Unfortunately, resale value is poor. I would say about $50-75 bucks for a new one. BUT, since I am a nice guy and you are a fellow Busse nut, Ill go ahead and give you $100 cash. No need to thank me, its just what I do.

Seriously though, I am not sure of an exact price range as it depends on how motivated the buyer is. You should at least be able to make $50 for your pocket, if not more. I mean, it is a ¼ inch slab of INFI. Id buy it from you now, but I have been taken out of the buyers market for the moment.

Good Luck with your sale. I am sure someone will come along shortly and give you a better idea of its real world value.

Nah, you don't really want to do that Alpha. $100 can purchase you a couple of books for your upcoming classes. I'll be happy to send him the $100 for the blade and then when you're finished with school, I'll be happy to send it along to you for that price

That's really good of you. Thanks. So when I am out of school, I'll just send you a $100 and you send me an 8 inch PBF.

In the mean time, go ahead and get it wraped like Radens set

I know it hurts the value, but I'll still give you the $100. Man, this really is a forum full of givers who are concerned about their fellow hog

theres an example of the blade to wich you refer going for 300. though it was dropped to 250... if you had time, and were willing to leave it up for a while, im pretty sure you could get 300$ for it.

raden recently put up a set for 1000$ (thougH he named it pure bread fighter set

but they rarely come up for sale...

Thanks guys, I will try to be patient, though unemployment is not what it needs to be if you get my meaning. I figured it would eventually sell for about $275 or so... of course mine would include a custom leather sheath by Dwayne... so that should help. I am not going to make it easy for the hogs however and have cleverly placed my add on another forum.

I got $300.00 for the last one of the 8' that I sold and $275.00 for the 6'. I had wrapped both with paracord but that's no biggie
