Question on 110

There is a dot ahead of the 110 stanp from these 1987 Buck 110 with FG. Dont appear to be hardness test marks but this collector had two of these.

Though theories abound.......nobody has ever come up with a satisfactory answer on that, Mak.

They are just interesting dots and they do appeal to collectors (even though they are just another Buck mystery.......it's nice to have a few in your collection).

I was wondering why this collector would have 2 of the same model. They seem like standard 110s with FG. MTPokt let me know about the dots.

Didnt the dot denote a change?
He may have just bought two at the same time.

Old 2-dot blades used in 1987. I'd guess 1/3 or so 1987's have the dot. Not rare.

As I remember it........the old two-dot blades would be shaped differently than the normal 1987 blades and that would immediately give them away.

I don't see that on these blades.

He may have hung onto these just because he liked the ones with dots because they were unique. Many of us like them.
