question on 301 RB

Does anyone (like 300 Bucks), know the rarity and approximate value of a BUCK 301RB. The knife is brand new in the box and has a date code of 1988, code is a V, and has a jigged Redbone handle. I'm on my cellphone right now but will post pics when I get home tomorrow for SPS.
 
I see these usually going for between 40.00 and 55.00 in mint condition on the bay, sometimes a couple of bucks more with box and paperwork. I have been actively bidding on these and they are definately on my most wanted list.:D I had one when they were first released by SMKW but let it get away.
 
I agree with STDK on the value but V is the date code for '89 fyi, I have a few of these and really like them. iwant the set of LE redbone 300s, there is a set on the bay right know but they want close to $250 for it . After the knife show I'm tapped out.

Here is a set like Matt was talking about. Price sounds about right. Find one for less and you will stepping out in tall cotton.

I found it at a junk store in Ga. They had 64.95 on it but had a 25% off sale on that booth so I got it for 52.12 incl. tax. I was just hoping I didn't pay too much. Sounds like the price was about right.
