hi; i recently picked up a NIB Buck TLC B820-BK-0 at an auction and when i checked out the blade one side is stamped 820 with a inverted U, as close as i can get to the 2001 symbol. on the other side is stamped "TAIWAN". this was a first for me as i have collected Buck's for over 20 years and have never seen a Buck manufactured their. maybe someone could shed some light on this. i had always thought all bucks were made in the USA. thanks for the help

I have a question as well about this style of knife the Buck TLC B820 and its use as a karambit style personal self defense and everyday use knife.

I am looking for a small carry knife that will come inhandy for cutting once in a while as well that is somewhat inexspensive.

I have been told that a crkt bear claw is excellent for the price but the Buck TLC B820 seems to be a tad bit cheaper.

Does Buck make a quality knife?

Would the hawk style bill of this blade interfere with the use of it in a self defense situation?

If anyone has any suggestions on other style knifes that aren't to pricey I'm open to those as well.
Thanks for any info,
Gabe

the TLC is designed primarily to be used as a utility knife. TLC stands for Tile, Linoleum, and Carpet.
