Question on a GERBER MARK II....

HI!

My name is Pedro and I live in Mallorca, SPAIN.


Is OK if a Gerber Mark II has a slightly bend to the right like 1/ 2 milimetre? The blade is in perfect condition and totally fixed to the handle.Some said
this is a military use.

Any help will be appreciatted!

Hi:

I don't know anything about it personally, but the following link is to a Wikipedia page dedicated to the Gerber Mark II and it talks about the blade being offset by 5 degrees in order to ride in the sheath more comfortably. I think, but am not positive, that this is called a "canted" blade. In any case it appears to be an intentional design element.

IIRC, as LBG states, it is intended to have a cant to it. I just wish I'd held on to the ones I had gotten after basic. They seem to have gone up in value.
