I just received the Advance Tech Bali, yesterday. And during my manipulations, I noticed that with this Bali, You get pinched by the handles a lot. Maybe it's just me but on my 42 I don't get pinched at all. The handles on the Advance Tech closer together then on the 42, Any else experience this?

The handles are a lot more square than the handles on the 42. There's more of an edge on the Tiger whereas the 42 handles are more rounded.

Plus that second tang pin will get ya' if you choke up on the handle too much.

You ordered the Brass one yet Clay? Dudley?

I think if they come out with that Balisong in Steel, BM and MT are going to have a run for the money.

The ROTON that Chuck has in "Spy Harder" is going to give them a go as well.

I have a BM 239b. The coating on the handles gets my finger pinched at the pivot point. Maybe. I'm stoned.

I absolutely HATED the aluminum handles but had to get myself two of the brass handled balis

I got my black aluminum S.W.A.T. today, and all I can say is "Ouch!!".

The blade may not be very factory sharp, but the point shure is pointy...
I've stabbed myself in the palm three times.

What I want to know is why "Advanced Tech" doesn't want to put their NAME anywhere near this bali?
The package (plastic bag) just says made in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
The blade just says 154cm USA, then there's a picture of a flyswatter crossed with a toothpick, and really tiny "s.w.a.t."

I figured that a new company would put their brand name on it a little better.
Do they not want any legal implications comming back at them?
Do they just not want to claim responsibility for this bali?

I kinda like the feel and the weight, and the size,

any thoughts???

This Company makes some rather interesting Covert Weapons, this is no B.S., no SEAL-SpecOps Hype...

They have a Commerical side of things for regular folks like us...

No Don, no Brass handled SWAT's in my possession. I am interested to hear what everyone thinks of them though.

SNIPE: Just out of curiosity, what was it you didn't like about the Aluminum handles??

Well Master Clay.. with any new balisong.. the first test is to do a latch drop.. it's just me but any balisong that can't do that smoothly just don't cut it in my book.

Maybe it's my lack of skill but I just don't feel that THWACK of the lach drop with the AL SWAT bali.. and I feel as if I have to "push" the al handles of the swat to make her move.. nothign smooth or flowing about it.

The brass swat is INSANELY heavy though.. but it's a VERY good eworkout knife.. with brass handles and a 5 inch blade.. I enjoy it much better and does the walk better than the al version.

this is all my selfish opinion though.

S, I saw "less than 50 knives made total in Brass" from the knifezilla/pvknife folks ... dunno what that means exactly, since 30 is less than 50.

With all the nifty new balis coming out I only went for one ...
