I have an old WWII blade with your standard wood handle showing no signs of use. but the sheath to this blade is a straight leather(not your typical khuk sheath) sheath stamped GARSTIN LONDON
1940
ANYONE NOW THE ORIGIN OF THIS PIECE?
I know its a brit piece but any more info would be helpful.
P.S. blade appears to be handmade, with no maker or inspectors markings.

Rob, if you can't post the picture here (I still can't),send me a JPG directly if you have that capability. I really can't begin to tell you anything until I see your knife.

If its any help until I can post some pics on khukri faq page 6 of the J. Powell collection towards the bottom of the page theres a pic with a caption below it"for what its worth I consider this a perfectly shaped handle" this appears to be the same khuk. same handle material, same cho seems
to be theexact same piece. any ideas?

Rob,
The 'perfect handle' belongs to a Nepalese made khukuri from the 30s, 40s, or 50s.
Your knife could be anything stuck in a uniquely marked sheath.
Until you get a pix posted it's all guesswork.
