Question on angle cube with Edge Pro?

When using the angle cube for the Edge Pro (pro model) do I zero the cube on the sharpening table or on the flat countertop?
I was thinking I need to zero on the edge pro table which puts me a few degrees off the zero on a true level surface.
I wanted to dial in my angle for a Hinderer S35VN 3" blade which I am not able to get very sharp on my Wicked edge. I tried several times and I come up short each time. I was keeping the existing bevel of about 24 deg per side and finished up to 1000 diamond. Then using the WE strops with 5 and 3.5 mic. I didn't think its as sharp as could be so I redid the edge up to 600 diamond after establishing a new burr. Still not to my liking so I thought to start fresh with my edge pro at the same angle so as not to take a long time or a lot of steel.
It's been a while for me with edge pro (24 deg.) as I have not used it in some time. I have been using the Wicked Edge system lately.
Thanks,

- I don't have an Edge Pro, but I would think that the sharpening angle is dependent on the Edge Pro table.

- It may not be as sharp as you would like it because a 48° inclusive edge is on the thick side.

Toker I was thinking the same thing that the angle is too big. This is the angle of the existing bevel thou Idid buy the knife preowned.
I was thinking maybe 21 or 22 deg per side tops for the angle.
How long might it take to reprofile to that angle?

I'm not sure about the Edge Pro, but using my Wicked Edge 100 grit strops, it doesn't usually take more than hour (slow strokes) with S30V grade steels.

You can also probably go lower than 20° per side. Try sharpening at a few different angles and see how well the edge holds up.

Update: I called Edge Pro and spoke to Ben, he actually answers his own phone. He told me based on some info I gave him to back bevel the blade edge at 17 deg until my primary bevel is about 1/64 of an inch. Then go touch up the primary bevel which I did up to the 6k tapes.
Much better results now, shaves hair and slices paper as it should be.
It seems to me the ceramic stones did a better job on this steel (S35VN) than the diamond stones but it may just be my technique or , lack of....
