I scored a BM 139 trading a yoyo that i won at a contest that i didn't want, but it hasn't come in the mail yet. And being the impatient bastid I am, I've been trying to find info/pictures on it, but to no avail. Just wondering if anybody could hook me up with some info on the BM 139, the only thing the seller told me is it was skelitonized and didn't look anywhere as good as the BM 42... I also read that it's MSRP was $33, but I'd really like to know anything else about it. Thanks.-

It's pretty much a Jaguar with a BM logo. Jag copied the International Series PC and BM Bali-Songs.

Damn I would of traded a high quality bearing yoyo for that bali, even though it's not the highest quality balisong made.
And if anybody had any older BM's that they don't use and would trade for one or more higher prices quality ball bearing yoyo's email and we'll talk.I have EVERY high quality yoyo on the market right now.
BTW I know this is OT but i've been noticing a few people having some interest in ball bearing yoyo lately so I just thought i'd say something that could possibly get me more bali's for my collection, and that's not that off topic is it?

Yeah, it turns out that a lot of yoyoers are into Balis now (although most of 'em just have cheapies), i guess i started sumpin'. Anyway, i traded a proyo stunt pilot with adjustable string gap for it... Anyway, i think it's kinda cool that a lot of people into yoyos and knives heheh. Bye the way, if any of you are into yoyos, you need to check out http://phalanx.hispeed.com/ , the videos are insane-

I don't know FOR SURE if the yoyo was in fact a weapon before it was a toy,but I have heard story's from a Philippino man that used to be a duncan demonstrator as a kid.
He told me that in the Philippine's the men used to hunt with a weapon that was similar to a rock on a string,or something like that,so you could hurl the rock at whatever your hunting and pull it back if you missed.I guess that idea moved on to smaller versions so the kids could practice the art of launching this weapon effectively enough to hunt with when they reach the age when they're old enough to hunt, and I guess that's where the idea for the yoyo came from.
Now as I said before i'm not 100% sure this is true, cause there's alot of false information about the yoyo being used originally as a weapon. But i'm sure there are martial arts that implement the yoyo,or something like a yoyo, but i'm sure those art form are new and were invented in the 20th century.
