I have the Little Encounter, and my guess would be a definite "maybe" to the thumb stud.
But, and this is a big BUT, the pocket clip can not be changed, single position only. Given the contours of the clip, if the thumb stud could be moved over, it would be very difficult, to impossible, to access as the clip would interfere with your thumb.
Given all that, it's a very good knife. But I'm right handed.
