Question on Busse basic and Swamp Rats

i was thinking of getting a busse basic 9, but also looking into swamp rats like a camp tramp. My ? is, is there a diff. between the 2 knives like differance in steels and such. And if i go with the BUSSE Basic would it be smart to keep it as a collector and just get a swamp rat later as a user? Thanks for looking.
 
Hi Ivan,

You can't go wrong with either blade, really, but I definitely think that it would be a shame to spend the extra money on the Busse then not use it. ;)

The two steels are different, the Busse is a modified Infi, the Rat is SR101 (non stainless), but both blades are built to take the abuse.

I just watched a Battle Rat go over 300, at this rate it will be cheaper to go with a Basic 9 :eek:

No chit! This is really getting stoopid.

The Basics were the 'users'. Then the Rat's were to more or less take over when the Basics were dropped and be the new 'users'.

Now, it seems people are paying collector prices for knives that were never intended to be collected.

Now, I gotta beat on mine twice as hard to keep their ego in check. LOL

It has to do with supply.

Once the new line is up and running, the demand for user knives should be better satisfied.
