Hello everybody

I have a question. I saw on catalog the Cold steel classic ozark hunter
http://www.davesknifeworld.com/ProductImages/54RL.jpg
Has anyone have one? What do you think of it? Good as all Coldsteel product?
Compared to Camillus trapper or Ka bar mule which you'll choose?
I really want to buy it, but I have to order it without have it on my hand?
Any comment will be extremely appreciated

Regards

The comparison to a Camillus would be accurate, that's who makes them for Cold Steel.

I own a Bowen Knives version, that was made in the 1970's (also I believe by Camillus for Bowen) and can barely tell it from the Cold Steel Ozark Hunter.

Good knives though, you will probably like it. I carried my Camillus and used it for a good while and it was fine.

I think it was Queen that made the "bullet style" lockbacks for Bowen...I don't have any experience with Cold Steel....but you may want to also look at the Queen "Mountain Man" lockback - similar pattern.

It is available in D2 steel and either genuine bone handles or cocobolo handles....about $60 from Cumberland Knife Works...an exceptional value.

I'll second the Queen Mountian Man, I have one and they are great. I'm curious now though, I was certain that Camillus made the Bowen, but when I look at the 3 side by side, the Bowen does "look" more like the Queen.....

Yes (as all their country classic), but I have to say "It was" because this knife has been discontinued (sad)
