Question on Curtiss Nano

I got a Nano yesterday and love the little knife but am questioning the lockup a bit. As you can see in the picture it is at 25% at best. All my other knives have a nice 50% lockup. Is this small lockup normal for a Nano framelock or should I look into contacting Curtiss Knives? Also, is this lockup really useable? It seems sturdy enough but I would not want it to fail on me with the cleaver like blade.

A lot of framelock knives I've seen come with early lockup. This allows it to "wear-in" to a seating spot. Sometimes if you slam open the blade it will allow the lock bar to go over a little farther, sorta like speeding up the breakin period.

Early lock up like you have pictured is something most people desire out of a framelock. I'd say you're fine. Also, because it's a framelock, your grip will reinforce the lock a bit more since you're pressing against the lockbar.
