Question on ESSE courses.

Does ESSE offer the same classes each year? Are they about the same time? I would love to go to one of these ,especially the Medical one. This year is out of the question as I've already registered for a wilderness survival course somewhere else in Sept. But would love to do an ESSE one next year.

Just keep a check on the web site. These courses will continue to run but the schedule may change slightly.

I, too, wanted to attend the medical class, but it won't be this year.
I really want the 5-day intensive, but the prerequisite makes it tough, and it would be 2 days worth of travel and lodging expenses for a 2-day class - hard to justify and work into the calendar/budget at the present.

What I'd like to do is next year do one of the 2 day courses and then the following year do the 5 day ops. Eventually I would love to do the South America one but that may have to wait for some thime if it ever does happen.

I was in a similar situation and I was always planning on doing it for far too long. Then one day I decided I would never find time to take the course if I didn't MAKE time for the course, So I signed up & I am glad I did.

I just did the 5 day Woodland Ops last month it was awesome. You will learn so much and actually get to use it RIGHT THEN. Hugh Coffee had a great Ditch Medicine presentation - I could barely write fast enough to take it all in.

You can't go wrong, get your butt out there & don't wait like I did.

Well the only thing really keeping me from doing it this year is I already signed up for a class with WLC for this fall. I cant swing the cost of both right now. So an ESSE course will have to wait to next year. I geuss I havent looked close enough at the ESSE site lately because I didnt realize that had course stateside until recently.
