Some of the new knives I have feel tight and hard to open with the flipper, does the design of this (torsion bar) loosen up over time and become more easy to open, or will they stay at this same level of force required to open them?

thanks

I read somewhere that the amount of pressure needed is that way because if it was not a little harder to push, it would be more prone to going off if you bump something. I'm guessing you have kershaws with no safety, those ones are harder, like my NeedsWork and Shallot. But my scallion and leek, which have safeties, are easier, im not sure if its the blade size of the fact that they have safeties. I find that either way, the pressure is a good thing, just for safety's sake...
