A friend just got a GEC hound's tooth, and it's really nice. Really crisp spring, and stout half stop. So of course now I have to get another knife. I was looking at the GEC #61 Half Congress, and maybe the Conductor. Do these knives have the half stops?

My half congress (with sheepsfoot) does have half stops, the conductor doesn't.

Well, it's kinda looking like we may be getting a congress of some type for the 2013 forum knife. Maybe even a congress jack..... might want to wait for it.

Here's my view on the two patterns: Both very well made and executed, the Half Congress has a very short Sheepfoot relative to the frame size, this I find disturbing aesthetically and from function too, yes it has the half-stop. The Conductor has a very good credible Clip master that fills the whole handle, a much more convenient pattern in all ways (Congress feel odd in the hand to me) Conductor is one of the best smaller patterns, no half stops so a very smooth opener.
