I am looking to get into the traditional knife collecting and have found a TC barlow sheepsfoot with palo santo wood handles. Is 275 a good price for this? Please help a noob in the traditional folder arena. Thanks.

Those originally sold for around $104 to $130 depending on dealer so I wouldn't call $275 a good price at all. Well I guess its a good price for the flipper but not the collector. ;)

I wouldn't buy that. I own several TC and NF Barlows and I've only paid a "premium" on one of them. These are good looking knives, very good looking...but GEC is so good at turning out knives that you won't go wrong with the 3 different knives that you could buy with that $275. Not to bash on GEC because I love the brand, but my TC from the last run was sent back because I had a chip on one scale and a crack on the other...so TC's don't get any special treatment when they leave the factory...they can be as good (or as bad) as any other GEC. If you can get your hands on future TC's at the regular retail, I would reccomend that option. I don't like buying at a premium because I work hard for my money and don't like to fund the flippers.

Thanks guys that was my intuition in it but I wanted to confirm

How about a Queen Bill Ruple colab? The local knife store has one in buffalo horn for 154?

OP, your initial question got answered.

This is a place to talk about knives. It isn't the place to ask about prices. A bit of homework online will get you plenty of answers about going rates for traditional knives.
