Question on how to remove grips.

I have a Seal Team SOG S37 knife. I am asking this question just out of extreme curiosity. How is the one piece plastic grip secured to the knife. On most knives you can see screws or rivets or a even a nut on the end of the handle. None of this exists on the Seal Team. The tang is not peened over either.

The lanyard tube is inserted through the grip and tang, then flared on each side to prevent it from sliding out. To remove the grip you would need to drill out the lanyard tube then simply slide the grip off the tang.

Doesn’t the seal series have a simple over molded handle, without a lanyard tube? I think you’d have to cut or abraded it off.
