I am new to the field of knifemaking, VERY new, and I have just read a book on knife making, by loveless, and in it he uses a process of kodak metal etch resist, instead of stamping. I have looked all over the internet and at kodak for this metal etch resist, because I like the idea of bieng able to mark my future work, like that. Can anyone help?? Also, can anyone recommend what tools to start with, or what books to read.
Thanks, all help is appreciated.

Hello!

About the Books, I strongly recommend that you buy the book How to Make knives(David Boye), in my opinion, it will be very helpfull as the book of Mr Lovless that you already buy.

About the KMER, I have the same problem. I just can´t find where to buy KMER on the net. If I find something, I send you a link, but if you find first, so post an scrap in this site okay?

Good Luck

Bob Loveless Hasn't used this method in a LOT of Years. He now used the Eletro etch Method as talked about above. The Old Kodak Metod was a pita. Glad we have Eletro-etch. It is how we get this! http://www.lovettknives.com/
