Hey, wise bladeforums members I need some help. I am going to college and disliking my current backpack setup. Being into gear as a whole, I thought this would be a great time to look into a maxpedition. So the question is Can I fit my laptop, and lets say 3-4 textbooks in the condor? If, not what pack from maxpedition can? I want to be able to have room for the laptop and the books. I have a 13.3'' laptop now, but in the future who knows. Socan it fit the standard 15.4" also? Thanks a ton guys!

PS: Sorry for any grammar mistakes, typing in a rush. :)

Seems like it should fit a small-mid sized laptop and a few textbooks without much trouble, depending on the thickness. I don't have a laptop myself or I'd give it a try and post some pics.

Laptops are pretty thin, just see about may books you can fit in there if you can, That would be very helpful! Thanks.

The old "Two is one and one is none" saying can apply to pack space as well I've learned. The Condor probably would carry a laptop and a few books... but then little else. If it's a day you wanna take a jacket just in case but you really don't wanna wear it... a larger pack would be helpful. Or maybe you need an extra set of shoes cause you're going running after class with a buddy. Or an extra set of clothes cause your staying over at your chicks place and you don't wanna go all the way home after school.... whatever... If you're gonna have ONE pack that needs to do everything... I always advise to buy just a little bigger than you NEED. That being said... I'd get the Maxpedition Vulture II. I own the Vulture II, Condor II, and a Kodiak... the Vulture IMHO out classes them all in usefulness.

Good point about the vulture. The thing with that is would the vulture be maybe to big? Dont wanna lug around a bunch of empty space if you know what I mean. Thanks for all the responses!

Use the compression straps to cinch it up and the extra size is no problem.

why stick with maxpedition? My Mtn Hardware book bag holds up just great and very comfy. same price if not cheaper. i like max's stuff and own some myself but the MH is lighter and it built well

It has two compression straps on each side... you can restrict its capacity so things don't slosh around in there.
