The good people at Tomars are sending me some Micarta scales for my 9 and 11, does anyone know if these automatically come with liners or do I need to order/make some myself?

(ive never added/removed scales to a knife before)

They do not come with liners.
You do not need them though.
Lots of guys on this forum make them for reasonable prices.

No liners. Just micarta.

No need for liners, unless you want to increas thickness.

Liners for the BK11 scales would be total PITA, btw.

doesnt come with any liners, works without them but if youd like them you can make em easily enough out of an old DVD case or similar thickness plastic, some people also use thin g10 but i found thin plastic from the dvd cases really easy and you can cut the shape with regular scissors.

Don't know about the 11, but I just got a set of micartas from Tomars
for my bk2, and they have a very thin plastic or resin base or liner.
All I did was give em a very light sanding, a quick rub down with some
machine oil (what I had in front of me at the moment) and bolted them on.
They look fantastic! You'll love em!

That would just be some of the extra resin that the micarta is made with.

I think liners on a full sized Becker is more for looks than function. The stock micarta is really nice, though, I'm sure you'll be pleased.
