Guys that have Millies in both m390 and XHP, which steel do you like best and why ?

I've done some research on both steels. I'd like the opinions of guys that have both knives preferability.

If you have a PM 2 and a Millie in both steels or a PM 2 in both steels I'd to know which steel (m390 or XHP) you like best and why.

I have a knife I'd like to trade for the Millie that most of you guys think is best.

Thanks.

I personally prefer CTS-XHP over M390, but not by much. M390 is supposed to hold an edge better, but I don't think that you would really see that much of a difference unless you were doing a heck of a lot of cutting. I've found that CTS-XHP is somewhat easier to sharpen--which makes me lean towards it over M390. I vaguely recall reading somewhere that CTS-XHP is tougher than M390 at equal hardnesses, but I very well could be wrong about that.

Differences in knife steels aside, the carbon fiber on the M390 Military makes it noticeably lighter which I really like. On the other hand, the M390 Military is probably going to command $50-100 more in value than one in CTS-XHP, so I'd say the CTS-XHP version would probably be a better bargain right now.

Currently my CTS-XHP Military and M390 Para 2 are users, and I keep my M390 Military in its box for whenever I wear out either of them.

It really depends on what you are going to actually use the knife for.

Both are good steels, but M390 holds an edge noticeably longer than XHP does due to the higher carbide content.

Yes I own both.

You can notice .2 ounces? That's the weight difference, at least on my two examples.
