Hey guys I just got a new HEST 2.0, I was examining it a first production model on youtube and noticed that mine still has a directional arrow on the lock. This doesnt bother me at all but I thought all the 2's didnt have that. All the other features match up...no liner on the g10, no blade play etc..
Can someone help me with this? thanks

I'm not understanding what you are getting at? Is there any problems with the lock up or fit and finish? If not I would not give it another thought. If you are unhappy, send it in for replacement, use the warranty.

No, nothing is wrong, I noticed that the 2.0 doesnt have the directional arrow on it, but the one that I got does. Im curious if this is like a mistake or what.

Mistake? Not sure, but It seems like you are sweating something rather insignificant in my opinion. If the knife is fine, including the usual details, just enjoy it. Maybe add a couple pics of the area in question?

I was thinking maybe I got an earlier model when the 2 was just released and maybe a few still had the arrow

I just looked at their site and one of the pics, of the 2.0 in the water it shows the directional arrow. So I guess a few have it...Im kinda OCD with my stuff.

If you could post a picture of both sides (G10 and titanium) of the Hest/F then I could tell you whether it's a 1.0 or a 2.0. BTW, the picture of the Hest/F in the water is neither a 1.0 or a 2.0... it was a pre-production prototype.

Does the G10 side have a steel liner? The G10 cutout has the 2.0 shape but the last pic almost looks like it has a steel liner... and the 2.0 should be g10 only (no liner). The divider is the right length, and the lockbar looks like the correct width. Other than the last pic, it looks like a 2.0.

Yeah, that's different... all the 2.0's that I've seen don't the the arrow. You could always head over to the Lion Steel forum here on Bladeforums and ask if you have a one off or if that's something we will continue to see on the Hest/F.
