Hey guys, I just acquired this Large Insingo and I noticed two things different compared to my Sebenza 21:

First, the indentation underneath the pocket clip on the framelock.

Second: stop pin with lines.

Did CRK stopped doing these on the newer knives. I'm just curios to know the story about these two things Ive noticed. Thank you!

The lines on the stop pin sleeve, were anti-lint grooves. A design element that was added, and then later deleted from the 21.

The milling under the pocket clip is the delineation between the beast-blast lockbar and the polished slabs on the wood inlayed knives. The Micarta inlayed knives are made with the same slabs as the wood inlays, just never polished, but you get the unneeded milling artifact, which would be cut into the slab by the CNC mill at the same time as the inlay pockets. The plain-jane models do not have these lines, as the milling program to cut the inlay pockets in never run on that slab.

Here is a link to my own forum investigation, from way back, into the stop pin anti-lint grooves, including a eureka moment where someone actually found the information from CRK regarding their function:
