Hi all! My 1st post here and let me start by saying I got no clue how to post pics so I'll do my best to describe what I got. It's a Camillus that was made in New York it appears old and has 1 blade and then a screwdriver? That locks open with a liner lock and has instructions on the screwdriver? On how to close it. Now on the side of it it appears to have a military cage/ supply number I don't have the knife handy right now to give you the number. It's in perfect condition I just want to know what I got and how old it is it's been in the family forever just no1 is alive to tell me anything about it. Thanks in advance guys .

Thanks Vit_213....so it looks like it was made 1960-1976! The cage number or whatever it is is as follows.....TL-29 and you can tell it wasn't scratched in looks like a machine did it it also has 3 pins in the black scales if this matters. It's just really cool and I've just gotta know more now..... Lol

As Vit told you, the TL is an electrician's knife. If not the most common Camillus, it's right up there on top. Not much in use by modern electricians.

Smooth black plastic handle is marked TL-29?
Then it probably dates from 1950-1955 (maybe a little later)

I've got to figure out how to get a pic up of this knife. But it okay by me if there were a ton of them made I just think it's cool and it's been in the family forever so that's cool in its self. I do appriciate all the help you all have been very helpful and given me a new brand of knife to start collecting! Thank you!

Tom said it was the S1760 model knife. Often called the MIL-K818 utility or demo knife. About 12 million made. The TL-29's came in at about 10 million.

Camillus made Western marked S1760 made in the mid 1990's. This one would be a commercial offering.
