The newer ideal knives are 4.25 blade length. Were older ideal models made with a 4.75 blade? Anyone know?

They were made in a variety of blade sizes. From the 1908 catalog:

Btw - you gotta love that in the top ad, the difference between a 5" and an 8" version is .75¢ And that between 1908 and 1948, the price only went up by that much.
