Question on Puma Catamount Stag Fixed blade knife

I bought this knife about 4 years ago. It has etched on the blade 440C and stamped made in Spain on the blade. The ones I've seen lately incluidng from Cabelas look just like mine but state the steel is 44oA. Any one used the 440C version and how well has it held up?
