I read on another forum that the early RAT-7 D2 knives suffered from some sort of faulty heat treating which left the blades more brittle than they should be.
My RAT-7 has held up well, but it did get a small chip in the edge that I had to sharpen out. Can anyone elaborate on the heat treating problem and when it was corrected?
