Question on removing blade coating

I would like to remove the coating on the blade of my BK-11 but leave it on the grip area. I am looking at using a chemical stripper, is there something I can use to protect the grip coating like a tape or something?

I used electrical tape to cover the coating on the handle and coated the blade with the stripper using a brush when I stripped my 3.

It worked well, but I had to do it again since I missed a few small areas...Hope that helped!!

gel formula stripper with a chip brush applied only in the area you want stripped and some patience
