I just bought a used 2013 Sebenza 25 off of the exchange and the knife is in pretty good shape overall but the lockup seems like it is at least 90%. Is this too late even considering the point of contact is the ceramic ball itself?

Pics would help..But yes, remember that the ceramic ball is almost centered with the lockbar.

Yep..your good.
Bisect the lockbar..about half- that is where the ball should be..Right around 60%

That is about where my Inkosi is..All good..it's not going anywhere :)

Great to hear. Thanks for the responses bhyde and maylebox. Is this normal amongst these models or is it still a bit late?

It's normal...and really, if you account for the ceramic ball, it's not late either.

Good point, bhyde. I guess I am not used to seeing a lock bar that close to the other slab.

I bet if you look on the blade where it locks up with the ceramic ball, it will show the true travel point. The 25,Umnumzaan and Inkosi have the ceramic ball. I look at the blade to see the lock up position, not the lock bar.
