Planning to put it on the sharpmaker.
Who knows the angle of its edge? Thanks.

I don't think a chipmunk will appreciate that. Besides, how do you get them to sit still long enough to get an even edge on the little critters? :D :p :D :p

They are hand ground so I am sure there is a lot variation. Even in the factory knives there is quite a bit of variation as most are hand sharpened. No way of telling. You just keep grinding until you raise a burr on each side. Try not to let it slip off the sharpmaker as it will round the tip if you do. I would start with the larger of the two angles. The 20 degree aka 40 inclusive works very well for a strong sharp edge.

You can take a black felt tip marker and "paint" the edge. A couple of strokes at the right angle will wipe it clean otherwise, you adjust the angle accordingly.
