Question on small sebenza

Hi everyone. I have yet to own a sebenza but I am looking to purchase one soon. I am in Illinois and the law states the blade must be under 3 inches for an edc. I like the small micarta inlay sebenza, and was wondering if the blade is truly under 3 inches. Can anyone who owns one let me know? I'd really appreciate it

don'cha LOVE how you can be a criminal without even committing a crime??? Laws where you can be the criminal AND the victim are super cool. I think we should continue to be pushed around for our own good even if there is no sense or logic involved. Maybe some day even knowledge will be illegal... it CAN be dangerous after all. You must carry sub 3" information... I don't know what that means... I reckon if someone makes a movie about it, we can be scared enough to pass some laws.
 
The blade on mine is <3" from tip to the edge of the handle slab, so it could not be considered a 3" blade (as opposed to a situation where the cutting edge was <3" but the overall blade was not).
 
Yes I agree with all of you that a sub 3 inch blade is a ridiculous law. So many more important issues to deal with rather than worrying about the length of a pocket knife. Thanks for all your input and I can't wait till I get ahold of a small micarta sebenza. It will be a nice LEGAL edc.
