Hello,
I was hoping someone could clarify a knife issue I’m having. Many years ago I ordered a Loveless style Dropped Point Hunter with Sambar Stag Scales from Steve Voorhis. I was an avid collector at the time and it was strictly for my collection.
The knife came out great and was very happy with it. I put it away in my chest and recently took it out thinking I might sell it as I don’t really collect anymore and have too many knives. While checking it out I noticed that the stag scales had shrunk a bit in some places causing very small gaps to appear between the scales and the steel.
It’s still a beauty of a knife, but how would it affect the value? Hypothetically if I wanted to try to sell the knife at $250 would I instead ask for $175 because of this issue. Could I even sell it realistically?
Thanks. I appreciate any advice.
Raul
