Hi all!

I have a question concerning the pivot screw of the Surefire Delta folder:

there are two different pivot screws:

a) like this one with two holes on each side http://www.google.de/imgres?imgurl=http://forum.guns.ru/forums/icons/forum_pictures/001297/1297749.jpg&imgrefurl=http://talks.guns.ru/forummessage/64/328383.html&h=768&w=1024&tbnid=hHKmmQvrk2K7YM:&zoom=1&tbnh=97&tbnw=129&usg=__bPVQqnjJ_inTGypSVi5qNA-ln9I=&docid=X5HXPMYsVTMasM&sa=X&ei=IBk3U8mrCcWOtAbR14GYCA&ved=0CDUQ9QEwAA&dur=1744

b) like this one with Torx (at least I think so) on one side and a Phillips-like on the other side: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1143925-Surefire-Delta-Folder-EW-04?highlight=surefire+delta

May you tell me which one is the older version? And if the pivot could be swapped?

Thank you very much in advance and sorry for my bad english...

Regards
Kai

As far as I know:

1) The oldest is the one with the philips srew (on both sides)
2) the next generation had "two holes" pivot
3) the latest had a torx screw on both sides!

Mine had two holes pivot screw but after I've sent it to repair it returned with torx screw (torx is on both sides of the pivot!)

The frame-lock was engaging more than 60-70% and after cutting something and squeezing the handle - frame-lock was moving to the opposite handle scale completely! There were no blade play yet but I've decided to send it for "tuning". As I was told Steeve Ryan himself was carrying a warranty on these knives and he did a great job tuning the frame-lock! After the tuning the lock is engaging no more than 60-70% under the load. As the side effect he replaced the "two holes" pivot screw for the modern torx screw and exchanged the glass breaker for the newer one (glass breaker have a slightly different form on the older and newer knives). Overall it's the great folder but I think that SureFire MSRP prices were a way too high!
