Question on sway back?

Okay, of late I've been interested in the warnie blade, and I modified a few of my knives to a wharncliff point. I've found it to be a very useful blade, giving a fine point, but a strong point.

Looking at the web site of a big knife dealer, I find them listing a variance of sizes for the Case swayback. One with chestnut bone is listed as 3 1/8 closed, and another with ebony handle is listed as 3 3/16ths. Yet anothr online dealer lists it as a 3 1/4 inch close size.

Is Case making the same knife with different scales and the dealer has a misprint in their online software, or is there a slight difference between the models with one blade or two?

Thank you,

Carl.

I just measured two swaybacks that I have. They are both close to 3 3/16" and both have 2 blades. I think that Case advertised them at 3 1/5" when they first came out. One is the chestnut bone with single bolster CV, the other is the stag with damascus dual bolster. Hope that helps. Oh .... they are great little knives!

My 2-blade SBJ measures 3-3/16" as near as I can tell on my Stanley steel tape.

Carl, there are some who might have a little trouble with a ruler. I see 1/4"-3/8" and 1/2"-5/8"-9/16" mixed up quite often. Hard to lay a serpentine shape on a flat surface, or maybe they use Ray's rule of precision:

Measure with a micrometer, mark with chalk, cut with an axe.

Carl, I've got a Single Blade SBJ and The Two Blade!
The single Blade is smaller! I'm looking at them right now!
Hope that helps!
